As of December 29, 2023, the online application of "e-CharterPermission" was implemented, which marks another step in the transition of yachting to the digital era and the opening of the market. This application is a simplified process, through a one-stop shop, that will facilitate the activity of yachting in Greece. At the same time, through its operation, it will be possible to record, monitor and control the actual activity of the ships concerned by this service. It is noted that the release of the forces of marine tourism will contribute decisively to the development of the domestic yachting cluster, the multiplication of jobs, the incentive of commercial yachts for homeporting in Greek ports and generally to the economic development of the country. This is also a primary objective of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Island Policy through the General Secretariat of Shipping and Ports, as part of the national maritime development strategy. This ensures a modern and clear framework for the activity of commercial yachts in our country, which will respond effectively to the modern requirements and challenges of internationalized maritime tourism. Specifically, through "e-CharterPermission", the "Charter Permission for chartering a certain power of a professional pleasure ship recognised under the law of another country – Charter Permission" is issued electronically, which concerns professional pleasure ships, under a foreign flag of more than 35 m., which are granted the right to operate in Greece, under terms and conditions.

The two categories of the License are the "Charter Permission" type, for a total charter contract executed entirely within the Greek territory and the "Charter Permission Plus" type, for the execution of a total charter contract, with a starting or ending place within Greece.

The duration of the License is set, first of all, at twenty-eight (28) days, which is dynamic, with provision for modification.

ALL YACHTS OF ALL SIZES INCLUDING WOODEN YACHTS are obliged to obtain a Charter Permit online and pay the TEPADACH Plus . (Check Here Tax Calculation)

Those yachts are allowed only to transit Greece provided that the embarkation and disembarkation of passengers is done abroad (outside of Greece) .

The online application should be done at least one day prior to arrival in Greece and this can be arranged through our agency .
